I share a workshop with a person who is very helpful fixing at maintaining things down at the baseball fields. Unfortunately, he’s a hoarder . . . and I’m not. Little by little things are piling up in the corners of the shop. It wouldn’t be a problem except his mess makes it hard to get to often-used tools. I realize I can’t change him, so I am making it so his, we-may-need-that-someday stuff is stored up and out of the way.
The best organizing solutions take what we like to do and do naturally (especially when we’re too busy to care) and making it work better.
