What Is The Worst Thing That Can Happen To You?

My answer to the question in the headline above would have been something other than what just happened to me. When I woke up my 2019 Macbook Pro was dead. Dead! Nothing. That feeling is indescribable. I took into Apple with hope, but trepidation. They confirmed the diagnosis, my laptop was deceased. Worse, it was the logic board where everything important was stored. Still, I wasn't too concerened—everything is in the cloud. I bought a new Macbook (which wasn't cheap, and an unexpewcted expense) and set about rebuilding my information. It could have been worse, but I lost all of my old e-mails. All of them. I wanted to cry. I tried everything. Plus, it is a PAIN to rebuild your computer files along with all the password problems. It took up three days of my life. I'm writing this because I have to believe there is a reason this happened. I don't know what it is yet, but I'm hoping in the end it will be a good thing. What I was hoping for is to hear from someone else who went through this and came out the other end better for it—or at least survived. leesilber@leesilber.com
