My 300 Pound Life

So . . . during Covid I put on some weight. A lot of weight. Now that Covid is somewhat in the rearview mirror, I am working my way down to a more reasonable number.

I started on August 18th, the day the scale hit 297. I said to myself, "There is no way I am going to weigh 300 pounds." I began by cutting my calories from 5,000+ a day to 2,500—then down to 2,000.

Voila, I began losing weight (about a pound a day). Today, 60 days later (10/18/2021) I weigh 267. That means I lost 30 pounds in two months just by eating less.

This weekend I joined a gym so I will begin to not only eat less, I will also exercise more. I am going to document my weight-loss journey with video blogs. I did the first today. I still look big, but at least I'm not huge.

This is one of those, if-I-can-do-it-anyone-can examples that hopefully inspires others to take on tough challenges and make positive changes in their lives.
