Why do we wait to buy an alarm or security cameras until after something bad has happened? Is it we’re lazy? Or, do we never expect anything bad to happen to us? Either way, why wait until it’s too late? There was a show a few years back where a former burglar was asked to break into a home by the producers who then (with advice from the thief) installed mitigating measures for the owners.
What if we—just for a minute—imagined the worst and prepared for it? What if we listened to our little voice that tries to warn us of danger in advance?
It’s worth the time and money to prepare for the worst, but hope for the best.
