Just Three Legs

Career success is like a three-legged stool. Let me explain. (There's the symetry of three. Two doesn't seem like enough, and four is one too many.) The simplicity of the design. Plus the uniqueness—other chairs usually have four legs. I say yes to things that incorporate these three pillars. LEG 1: Projects that don't feel like work. Makes you smile. The time flies. It feels good because it makes a difference. It's exciting. Challenging. If I won the lottery, I'd do it anyway. LEG 2: I will push myself, but I look for things to work on I'm equipped to do, do well, and I'm ready to go now. LEG 3: The third leg is so important. Without it, the other two legs are out of balance. Focusing on the things people want, need, will pay for, and I can promote and sell with confidence because I believe in their value, makes life a lot easier.
