Ideas can strike anywhere, anytime. What do you do when you have a flash of inspiration or a big breakthrough? Here's the steps you can take if you believe you and your ideas are worth saving. (Hint: They are.) 1. Write it down right away with a sketch if it requires it. Carry a small notepad with you at all times. Keep one by the bed. Have one in the bathroom (I'm serious). 2. Sleep on it. Look at it again the next day. The best ideas age well and get better with time. Others, the time just isn't right, but they are still worth saving.

3. Make a prototype and try it and improve it. Share it with others and ask for feedback. 4. Research it to see what else is out there. How is your idea better or different. Is there something you can borrow from a similar idea and use it to enhance yours? 5. Do something with it.
