The secret to surviving in publishing is to keep busy and productive. That's why I have several book projects all going at once. It may seem somewhat chaotic with a novel, business book, college textbook, self-help title, a children's picture book, and a book on parenting all in different stages in the publishing process—but it works.

Comments: My advice to authors, don't have just one book proposal out there. Having more than one project in progress makes the waiting a LOT easier.
